Magene T600: Magene's first self-powered bike trainer

Magene T600: Magene's first self-powered bike trainer

In November 2023, we hosted Magene's 2nd International Cycling E-race. It featured a grueling 10-kilometer uphill challenge between China's Team Bross and our local heroes, Team 7 Eleven Cliqq - Air21 by Roadbike Philippines.

Exclusive Live Coverage: Magene's 2nd International Cycling E-Race:

Both teams utilized Magene's latest indoor trainer, the T600, which had not yet been released on the market at the time of the event. Fortunately, I managed to acquire one of the five trainers used during the competition.

The T600 smart bike trainer is designed for professionals. As Magene's first self-powered bike trainer, the T600 utilizes a permanent magnet synchronous motor and virtual inertia technology, equipped with road simulation and downhill simulation functions to recreate the outdoor cycling experience.

In terms of connectivity, the T600 offers four connection methods: Race mode, three-channel Bluetooth, heart rate belt bridging, and more, ensuring seamless integration with your smart devices. Overall, the T600 combines the best features of two leading competitors, the Tacx Neo 2T and Kickr V6, providing comprehensive functionality at a more affordable price point. It aims to set a new standard for excellence on your cycling journey.

I've been using this trainer, and I'm here to share what I've learned about the T600. The T600 Magene's very first self-powered trainer, meaning it can generate power when pedaling, so you don't need to plug it into a power source. This is perfect for warming up before a race; you don't need a power source, just pedal, and you can control the resistance using your head unit or mobile device.

I haven't extensively tested the road simulation because, for me, it's not that important. I prefer a smooth ride indoors since outdoor roads are already bumpy and challenging enough, and I don't want to replicate that experience indoors. However, I do enjoy the downhill simulation and find it advantageous, especially during virtual races.

I also conducted a test to check the accuracy of the power meter compared to my P505, and I obtained a good reading.

Please watch the complete vlog on my YouTube channel where I've posted an unboxing and initial review of the T600.
